Bonjour les aviateurs!

Je m’adresse à vous au nom des 99s Chapitre de Montreal. Pour ceux qui nous connaissent pas, on est un groupe de femmes pilotes basé à CYJN et nous avons un Cherokee 140 pour monter nos heures vers un CPL et faire des longs vols voyage.

Cet été, l’avion a subi un atterrissage forcé dans un champ suite à un “rough running engine”. Heureusement, les pilotes à bord ont fait une super belle job au niveau de l’atterissage en terrain mou, car tout le monde va bien et l’avion n’a pas été endommagé. Il fallait cependant trouver le problème au niveau du moteur…
 
Après deja quelques mois d’investigations avec plusieurs mécaniciens et spécialistes du Cherokee, le problème a été identifié au niveau des conduites de carburant du réservoir droit.

C’EST LÀ QUE NOUS AVONS BESOIN DE VOTRE AIDE POUR POUVOIR RÉPARER ET RAMENER LE CHEROKEE À LA MAISON ET AINSI POUVOIR CONTINUER DE PROFITER DU CIEL ENSEMBLE.

Nous savons tous que la maintenance d’une avion coûte très cher, la Section de l’Est du Canada (car il y a des groupes de 99s partout au monde!) a mis sur pied une campagne sur le site de Canada Helps pour nous aider à remettre notre Cherokee en état de vol. Voici le lien vers la campagne

Hello aviators!

I am writing to you on behalf of the 99th Chapter of Montreal. For those who don't know us, we are a group of female pilots based in CYJN and we have a Cherokee 140 to build up our hours to a CPL and do long cross-country flights.

This summer, the plane suffered a forced landing in a field following a "rough running engine". Fortunately, the pilots on board did a great job of landing in soft terrain, everyone is fine and the plane was not damaged. However, the problem had to be found in the engine...

After a few months of investigations with several mechanics and Cherokee specialists, the problem was identified in the fuel lines of the right tank.

THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP SO THAT WE CAN REPAIR AND BRING THE CHEROKEE HOME SO THAT WE CAN CONTINUE TO ENJOY THE SKIES TOGETHER.

We all know that maintaining an aircraft is very expensive, the Eastern Canada Section (because there are groups of 99s all over the world!) has set up a campaign on the Canada Helps website to help us get our Cherokee back in flying condition. Here is the link to the campaign
