Valleyfield - un aérodrome d’importance

Visite de M. David J. McGuinty, ministre de la Sécurité publique du Canada, à l’aérodrome de Valleyfield le 7 février dernier. De g-d : Jocelyne Laberge, M. David J. McGuinty, François Audette, Jude Brunet (pilote de l’hélico) et Pierre-Paul Sauvé.

Suite aux évènements du 11 septembre, la surveillance de la frontière canado-américaine avait été renforcée. Etant près de cette frontière, l’hélicoptère de la GRC, basé à St-Hubert, vient régulièrement à CSD3 pour prendre à son bord un agent du bureau de Valleyfield pour effectuer cette surveillance. Nouvellement nommé Ministre canadien de la sécurité publique (depuis le 20 décembre 2024), David J. McGuinty est venu le 7 février dernier faire un vol de la région à bord de cet hélicoptère. Nous l’avons accueilli avec son équipe à notre FBO. Plusieurs agents de la GRC et trois importants médias étaient aussi présents ( TVA, CBC et Noovo). M. McGuinty leur a accordé une entrevue avant et après son vol. Durant son envolée, les médias ont profité de notre local pour fignoler leur reportage...Un autre bel évènement qui confirme de l’importance de notre aérodrome...

Following the events of September 11, surveillance of the Canada-U.S. border was reinforced. Being close to this border, the RCMP helicopter, based in St-Hubert, regularly comes to CSD3 to take on board an officer from the Valleyfield office to carry out this surveillance. Newly appointed Canadian Minister of Public Safety (since December 20, 2024), David J. McGuinty came on February 7 to make a flight of the region aboard this helicopter. We welcomed him and his team to our FBO. Several RCMP officers and three major media outlets were also present (TVA, CBC and Noovo). Mr. McGuinty granted them an interview before and after his flight. During his flight, the media took advantage of our office to refine their report... Another great event that confirms the importance of our aerodrome...
